London street life in the 19th century:
the Turkish baths sandwich-board man

Depicted as part of the everyday life to be seen in London in the final quarter of the nineteenthy century, the three sandwich-board men, or 'human directionals' as they were known in the trade, include one for a Turkish bath. The bath had well and truly arrived.
