Tariff card for the Savoy Turkish Bath,
Savoy Street (later, Savoy Hill), London

Part of the Savoy tariff card
Inner card

This tariff card was issued in 1885, the year the Savoy baths opened. The four-sided folding card may have been kept as a souvenir because the baths were the first in London to be lit by electricity, and the whole-year calendar on the outer back page may also have encouraged the recipient to keep it. Unusually, but well judged, the inside of the folder included the temperatures of the hot rooms, in addition to sketches of the interior and oopening hours.

This page adds an image of the outside
