Of all the files destroyed by Companies House officials as part of a non-selective weeding system, this was one of the most important. The company's bath in London's Victoria Street, was built to the design of Dr Richard Barter, whose Turkish bath at St Ann's in Co. Cork was the very first Victorian Turkish bath to be built.

1861  The directors of the company appeared in a number of newspapers, eg, The Evening News of Dublin:

 

1862 The Oriental Baths in Victoria Street, Westminster, owe their origin to a number of Irish gentlemen, who formed themselves into a company under the Limited Liability Act; and no better proof can be had of their hearty spirit in the work, than in the fact that they have spent over £25,000 upon its construction.1
