This was a legal cause célèbre in the 1860s and 1870s concerning the claim by Thomas Castro (aka Arthur Orton, and usually called ‘the Claimant’) to be the missing heir to the Tichborne baronetcy. He lost his case, and served a long prison sentence for perjury.
