Notes

Information taken from source detailed in the following footnote: 1

On 6 January 1894, an advertisement appeared in the local paper under the heading TURKISH BATHS / MOST IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT. It stated that the Tramore Turkish Baths would soon be open to the public, and that the 'radiating warm and shower baths' had 'undergone a complete overhauling'.2

It has not, so far, been possible to determine whether the Turkish baths were a new facility added to an existing baths establishment, as seems to be indicated, or whether existing Turkish baths were to re-open shortly with refurbished radiating, warm, and shower baths.

This account should be treated as work in progress. Further research is needed.
