Victorian Turkish Baths Picture of the Month for May 2009

Do you know where this shampooing room is—or was?

Definitely NOT Eston
< Photo: Shifrin

This photograph was taken some time in the 1990s when I was researching Victorian Turkish baths somewhere north of Watford. Unfortunately I forgot to label it and my aged memory has completely forgotten where I took it.

I had thought for many years that it was Eston (now sadly closed) but I am assured by several people (including some who worked there) that it definitely was not.

So, does anyone recognise this room? If so, please let me know, and your name will be included among the many amazing people who write to me about the site, and about the Victorian Turkish baths which are featured in it.
