Victorian Turkish Baths Picture of the Month for December 2009

The Turkish Baths Building, Norfolk, Virginia

Norfolk, Va.
< Postcard: Victorian Turkish Bath Project collection

Nothing is known about these Turkish baths except that, according to an unidentified local history, they were open in 1902 at No.55 Atlantic Street, Norfolk, Virginia, when William E King was the manager. As can be seen in the photograph, they were well provided with fire escapes.
