Victorian Turkish Baths Picture of the Month for May 2010

Poster advertising the hot-air baths at
Glossop Road and Broadfield Road, Sheffield, 1950s

The bottom of the poster, which is not visible in the above image, seems to imply that each of these types of hot-air bath was 'available at Glossop Road & Heeley Baths'. But in fact only Glossop Road had Turkish baths; the Heeley baths at Broadfield Street were Russian steam baths. The poster probably dates from the middle of the 1950s.
