The original design

While published works frequently suggest that the Oriental Baths in Cookridge Road looked as they do in the image above, the original design was cut back, presumably due to the cost. The best representation we have of the actual building is that shown in the image below.

Apart from the obvious omission of the large central minaret-like structure, the wings on either side of the central portion of the building are narrower, as can be seen by comparing the number of windows on each side.
