The Schwitzbad

The System Krauss Schwitzbad, or sweating bath, from Germany, c. 1910. This appears to have been designed for domestic use. It may have been an adaptation of the sitzbath with the addition of a cloak to retain the hot air. The heater in the foreground, however, it similar to those used externally with all types of cabinet bath.
