The entrance to the White Rock Baths designed by architects Cross, Jefferey, Skiller and Wells.The Turkish baths lie straight ahead; the women's private baths behind the left-hand arches; the men's private baths behind the right-hand arches. The portico was built in brick and Doulton's terra cotta, and elaborately decorated. The courtyard floor was covered in Maw's encaustic tiles. The photo is taken from the top of an imposing flight of steps fifteen feet wide.
