The Victoria Baths, Chorlton-on-Medlock, Manchester:
inner entrance to the Turkish baths and the shoe room

Internal entrance to the Turkish baths

The entrance to the Turkish baths was through a lobby where bathers first removed their outdoor shoes.

The lavish use of good quality woodwork and stained-glass windows for such a utilitarian room is indicative of the standard of fittings used throughout.
