Victoria baths, Chorlton-on-Medlock, Manchester:
three stained glass window panels

< Photos: The Manchester Victoria Baths Trust

The glass is understood to have been produced in the Manchester area in the workshop of William Pointer (1866-1919).

The panel on the left, known as 'the Angel of Purity', and the central panel, one of a number of landscapes, are both from the Turkish baths suite. The third panel is one of a number of sporting scenes, none of which, curiously, depicts swimming, located in the entrance area of the baths.
