Inside the Turkish bath at Avery Hill

Archway
< Avery Hill Turkish Bath (Eltham: A Dale Sheppard, 1907)

Colonel North's private Turkish bath in his south London home at Avery Hill, before it was destroyed during a Second World War bombing raid.

This is the view from the hottest room (the caldarium) to the first hot room (the tepidarium).

The postcard is from the collection of the Victorian Turkish Baths Project
