< Crieff Hydro, 1868-1986 / Guy Christie (Crieff: the hydro, 1967)

Dr Meikle bought Lochhead Hydropathic Establishment from the Trustees of his late brother William in 1861. He immediately built  Turkish baths close to the main building.

He left Lochhead seven years later and, at the age of 34, founded a new hydro, Crieff, at Strathearn.
