one of a series of pamphlets

Cover of 'Why you should take a Turkish bath'

One of a series of promotional booklets, published in the 1930s, issued free on application to customers and enquirers at any of the company's establishments, eight of which are listed on the inside back cover. The Northumberland Avenue establishment was chosen to be the sole illustration as it was also the location of the company's Head Office.

Its 16 pages include sections on The technique of the Turkish bath, What the Turkish bath does, Conditions for which the Turkish bath is highly beneficial, and The Turkish bath and heart trouble.

Other free pamphlets in the series were: The book of the Turkish bath, After 40, Your health, and Electric baths, light baths & vibro massage.
